Tempest

Feeling foreign inside my own flesh is exactly what I needed to properly obsess over the things I can’t control; the answers I can’t find. With every breath wasted, I’ve run out of time. Sleeping underwater tends to bury most sound. A convenient thing to do when you’ve been uprooted from the ground.

Paradise

I’ve been cursed with the frailest bones under the fucking sun. All it takes is one misstep, it all comes undone. What I know is all I have. Nothing you say could take it back. What you are is all I feel. But guilt keeps me drawing near. I’ve learned to cope with the lies I’ve been fed since adolescence. You promised to take me to paradise, now we spend forever in hell instead. Your hands that restricted my breathing were far warmer than the rope I have now.
